| You may be interested in knowing how many people sees a particular image from a page
of yours. You'll get your answer by creating a link with a counter. When we create the counter with HitMan the link looks like this: http://www.hit2count.com/do/hm4/h4.cgi?acc=K5TTZMHLXBZD0EKFPE7397&flnk=tutorial_page5_weblogo.gif |
||
| The image below is loaded from that link but it is stored on the path shown atop | ||
![]() |
||
| The code line needs to be embedded in the html or php document where the image is
to be displayed. When the page is delivered by the web server it will look up for the image at the hit2count link
and there the correct path to the image will be delivered after accounting the request. Note: 1. The link name used by HitMan to address the file does not necessarily have to be called as the file name. On the example the filename is weblogo.gif and the link name used by HitMan to call the file is "tutorial_page5_weblogo.gif" and that is not a valid filename but the right filename will be found by hit2count server at the time. To create this link in HitMan you need to enter the path where the file is at your server, also you need to give it a friendly name which will be used by HitMan to locate the path and it also will be the filename that the visitor sees. You need to think of a name which will be easy for you to recall what was the file because that name will be listed on HitMan's screen. Finally, after both pieces of information are entered the link is created by pressing the File Tag button if it is not already in the pressed down position. |
